Warehouse Support/Driver Helper
Full or Part Time: Full Time
Starting Wage: $17-20/hour
The Warehouse Support is responsible for assisting in receiving, producing, building, packaging, and shipping pre-hung doors and other materials. The Warehouse Support must operate within product/safety standards, policies, and procedures. Working along side the Production Manager and other warehouse staff, administration, and sales staff, the employee must demonstrate effective communication of progress of scheduled production output, storage of materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Basic Position Function
Location: Fife, WA
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Contributes to ensuring a safe environment as #1 priority:
• Work in a safe manner to avoid injuring yourself or others
• Be responsible for keeping equipment in good working order to avoid safety risks
• Report malfunctioning equipment to Production Manager and Safety Personnel
• Remain up to date on current safety policies and procedures.
• Report any accidents, illnesses, or potential incidents to Safety Personnel and/or
Human Resources.
Receiving and Delivery:
• Assist in unloading inbound vendor trucks promptly and without causing damage
to material or facility.
• Ensure inbound material is undamaged, correctly counted, and checked into
inventory.
• Bring all damaged inventory to the attention of Management
• Build customer orders from inventory accurately
• Load trucks in a fashion that will allow for easy and safe unloading at destination.
• Pull and package for shipments going via UPS, FedEx, and other common
carriers.
Warehouse:
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
• Produce high quality products for customers
• Communicate effectively on condition of product and inventory levels
• Assist in the assembly of pre-hung doors and other shop products
Administrative:
• Attend required meetings (safety, warehouse, sales, etc.)
• Verifying and reporting quantities
• Maintaining necessary paperwork required for delivery
• Participate in inventory counts
• All other assignments as requested by management
Duties And Responsibilities
Desired Attributes:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Skill in safely operating designated forklifts and other vehicles
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying conditions
• Demonstrate effective communications skills
• Ability to read and interpret general documents, such as safety rules, operating
and maintenance instructions, etc.
• Observe and abide by all company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Positive attitude in a fast-paced, and conditions varying environment
• Relative driving experience
