Estimator

Full or Part Time: Full Time

Starting Salary: $52,743.60-$60,000.00 DOE

Location: Fife, Wa

Basis Position Function

The primary responsibility of the Estimator will be performing take-offs of blueprints for large construction projects and includes working alongside the lead estimator and sales teams. Materials and products include doors, millwork, and other building materials.

Estimating:

• Perform take-offs of blueprints in a timely and accurate fashion

• Enter estimates in the tracking system

• Track shipments, verify shipped product matches invoices product

• Schedule and run shipping meetings for projects sold

• Manage bid pipeline and maintain backlog with a balanced work load goal

Collaborate with Sales/Administrative teams:

• Work with team members/customers to ensure everyone has the information

necessary to deliver on agreements and provide excellent customer service.

• Work with the sales staff to let them know of any sales opportunities in their areas

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• At least one year experience with estimating in the construction or building

materials industry

• Ability to read complex blueprints

• Intermediate experience using Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Excellent math skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively

communicate with all levels of vendors, customers, and coworkers.

• Ability to process estimates quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment

• Attention to detail with accuracy

• Positive attitude in a fast-paced, and conditions varying environment

• Relative driving experience
